  1. Allow for IP Pool selection during VM / Service creation (GUI)

You can have multiple IP Pools under a VM Network. When you create a VM (or Service of VMs) thru the GUI, you are not prompted for which IP Pool to use on that VM Network.

I presume it is currently picking the "first" one automatically, meaning whatever one was created first.

  2. When configuring memory, make GB be the default instead of MB

When configuring memory for a VM, make GB be the default instead of MB. These days I think everyone would save some clicks and time if this was implemented.

  3. Fix the counter in VMs that use "Dinamic Memory" Active.

  4. Provide web based management in VMM 2016 like App Controller without Windows Azure Pack

An easy to use web based management option like App Controller should be provided for VMM 2016. Setting up Windows Azure Pack just in order to give internal customers e.g. developers a tool to manage their VMs seems oversized.

  5. show the vmm console build number

In some cases customers work on dedicated admin workstations a local VMM Console installed. In these scenarios it's important to keep the console up-to-date, if possible in the same version as the VMM Server. It would be great if the VMM Console notifies the user if he's using and older VMM Console version.

at least this should be displayed within the "about" dialog.

  6. SCVMM add-in installed from Powershell

For add-in's which have to be installed and worked upon silently, there should be a way to install and uninstall from a powershell script

  7. Allow VMM Library Servers pin to more than one Host group

During placement VMM uses this association in Host Group properties to find closest library, but now it accepts only one host group.

If you add option to select more than one HG in this field it will be best before you realize https://systemcentervmm.uservoice.com/forums/280803-general-vmm-feedback/suggestions/7000584-vmm-library-servers-in-multiple-sites-synchroni

  8. Reduce the text 'Virtual Machine Viewer'

Please can you either allow the 'Virtual Machine Viewer' text to be removed or reduced to 'Viewer'. When you have multiple Virtual Machine open the task bar doesnt allow you to see which machine is what because this text fills the whole section.

Screen grab attached as an example...

    Thanks

  9. When the window is displayed in full screen, the character string of the title bar is missing.

When the window is displayed in full screen, the character string of the title bar is missing.
VMM UR1 also has not been fixed, but recently released VMM UR2 was installed, but it has not been fixed.

  10. VMM Console Doesn't Remember View Changes

Right now the VMM console does not remember all changes made when adding and removing columns from the VMs view of a host or cluster. For example, I add the "Disk Write Speed" column, and after closing and reopening, the "Disk Write Speed" column is no longer present again. Other columns, such as "Disk Read Speed", are correctly remembered.

  11. Virtual Folders in Console UI

Please a "Create Folder" Feature like SCCM Console, that we can better sort or categorize the VM's for a nice Overview.

  12. Add a scroll bar when using the "Migrate Storage" function.

Please Add a scroll bar when using the "Migrate Storage" function.

When you have enough disks attached to A server, a scroll bar would come in handy.. :)

  13. Move addins to the user profile

VMM stores vmm addins in %programfiles% under username. This is a horrible design. Please move user-defined addins to the userprofile and provide an option for system-wide installation of add-ins.

  14. contextual powershell script

Have the possibility to run a powershell script (stored in Library) when right clicking an object (for example a VM, a host, etc.)

  15. Folder structure for Templates and Profiles

Since our deployment of WAP we have alot of different Templates and hardware profiles, it would be great to group these, just like the library files.

  16. Remember window size

The dialog windows in VMM are ridicoulisly small on modern larger screens. Whenever I open a window, the first thing I have to do is to "drag" it to expand it and "fix" its layout (left/right split). VMM should remember the window size of dialog windows and open them to the same size the next time a window is opened.

  17. Job execution log view/tab

Add a tab on jobs view that will display a complete execution log for the selected job: all the commands that were run, with input parameters and returned results.

  18. Visual representation of maintencance mode

In VMM - VMs and Services - one can't tell at a glance if a host is in maintenance mode. You either have to check via context menu or by using the Fabric view (e.g. All Hosts). A visual representation of the active maintenance mode (maybe by changing the icon) would nice. Something like we have in Failover Cluster Manager. It also helps when mulitple admins are managing an evironment to see what's going on.

  19. Change Active Directory Check Behavior on Bare Metal Deployment

While redeploying an existing host, I disabled the host's AD account but neglected to check the box to "Skip Active Directory Check". This one mistake forced me to re-do the entire deployment, including the Deep Discovery that takes nearly 20 minutes on our hardware.

I suggest that this be a retryable condition, for starters.
For another, I suggest that if the AD account is disabled, that this be downgraded to a warning at most. Pre-staging computer accounts is a fairly common operation.

  20. Job names\description is confusing and inconsistent

The log view may show confusing an inconsistent records. For example, when a VM is migrated from one host to another, the job name may say 'Deploy virtual machine', while the corresponding step name actually says 'Move virtual machine <VM Name> from ...'. Sometimes, executing the same task for several objects may show up differently on the same view (Running) but looking at those same jobs in the History view shows up correctly. Examples (created in SCVMM 2012 SP1) attached.
