Support Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V in VMM 2019
I know System requirements for System Center Virtual Machine Manager (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/vmm/system-requirements?view=sc-vmm-2019) does not list Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V as being a supported Hyper-V host in a VMM 2019 environment. And there's a difference between "not officially supported" and "officially not supported". VMM 2019 simply does not allow you to install its agent on a Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V server:
Error (20523)
The verslon of the Windows operating system on the computer xxxxx is not supported for a host.Recommended Action

Add Azure Resource Manager Stack based Azure VMs to the subscription view
With Update Rollup 6 the "Add Azure Subscription feature" was added to the VMM console.
But with the general availability of the Azure Virtual Machine Services in ARM this new feature has a lack of consistency. I can see my Azure VMs based on the Service Management Stack but not my Azure VMs based on the Resource Manager Stack.

Add IP as an option to show on the VM screen.
On the VM list screen I would love it to show the IP addresses of my VMs. This would be very useful as well, so when I search I actually can yield results based on IP address. Sometimes you have a moment and all you have is an IP address for a machine. vCenter does this for its search functionality.

Generation 2 VM support for Service Templates
Should be clear enough that we need Gen2 VM support for Service Templates. I guess that is a key requirement also for the VM role gallery items in WAP. VM role deployments need Gen2 VM support too and from my point of view it’s a lack in VMM. Cause Service Templates and VM roles are very similar.
60 votesThank you for your votes and support. We have included this in VMM 2012 R2 UR6. For more details on UR6, please go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3050317/.

Repair disjoint VM Roles
Please provide a method to repair disjoint VM Roles. We regularly see customers who remove Hyper-V hosts and clusters from VMM, causing havoc with Azure Pack VM Roles. The relationship between the Role and the instances is lost because VMs get new IDs when the host or cluster is re-added to VMM. So far there is no way to repair this. Usage is completely broken after this event.

Stop using Win32_Product for DHCP Agent version discovery
Since UR5 VMM polls the Hyper-V hosts every half hour for the DHCP agent version. The Win32_Product WMI class is used for this.
Because this class is used, every half hour MSIEXEC processes will run consistency and reconfiguration steps for all MSI packages on all Hyper-V hosts. This results in a flood wave of Application Event ID 1035 occurring every 30 minutes.
The overall impact I cannot oversee as I don't know what is actually reconfigured.
You can validate VMM is the cause of these calls by enabling WMI tracing.Microsoft itself actually advises (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/974524) not to use…

Enable support for Group-Managed Service Accounts (gsma)
Let us use "group managed service accounts" for both a RunAs account, as well as the user under which we would install and run SCVMM.
41 votesYou can now install System Center 2019 with gMSA as the service account.
At this point of time, we are unable to implement gMSA for RunAs accounts due to limitation of WinRM -
Allow multiple public IP adresses to be allocated on a single VM network
When using Network Virtualization, VMM only supports 1 public IP address per VM network. That is a major limitation for a lot of customers.
Windows Server Gateway supports it, but VMM can only allocate 1 IP.35 votesThis idea has been completed in SCVMM 2012 R2 UR7. For more detail, please go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3066340.

Storage optimization
A good idea would be to have a dynamic optimization for the Storage, to receive some recommendation where to place the VHD, automatic load balancing when the Lun/Datastore is heavily used.

Allow for the administrator to change Bandwidth Limits for Network Controller RAS Gateway Deployments
In the current release of SCVMM 2016, VPN Gateways using the Network Controller does not allow the administrator to set the network bandwidth limit even though it is possible to do so via the REST API of the Network Controller.
Currently, the default Network Bandwidth limit is 500Kbits on the incoming and outgoing side of the VPN Gateway.
See https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server-docs/networking/sdn/manage/add-a-virtual-gateway-to-a-tenant-virtual-network#bkmk_modify for the workaround to configure the bandwidth limit

VMM 2016 Bug: Static IP Address cannot be specified on the cluster
I am trying to configure a Hyper-V 2016 cluster using SCVMM2016. All my Windows Server 2016 nodes have Logical networks configured from VMM and IPs are set from the VMM IP pool.
Now when I am creating a cluster, I see a message saying "Static IP Address cannot be specified for the cluster" "VMM has reviewed the logical networks and VM Networks on each of the servers selected for the cluster. It cannot find any networks on which static IP adress or IP address assignment have been configured across all the nodes. If the cluster you are creating needs a…
